Trichostema dichotomum, or Forked Bluecurls, is native to much of the Eastern half of the United States. It is an annual that grows in open woods, bluffs, along trails, glades and in sandy prairies, often in acidic soil. It blooms from mid to late summer, with blue flowers.
This plant looks similar to some other members of the genus. More information will be posted at a later time about differentiating other species.
