Calyptocarpus vialis, or Straggler Daisy, is native to Texas, and is considered introduced to the rest of the southern-tier states. It is a small-flowered perennial that grows in disturbed areas, in lawns, in gardens and in open woods, especially along trails. It blooms year round, with small yellow flowers.
This plant looks similar to some other members of the genus. More information will be posted at a later time about differentiating other species.
